DISTRESSED TO MARROW from Karlsruhe (Germany) was found by the guitar players Thorsten Ditschinger (Ex-Words of Pain, Painful) and Torsten Staude (Ex-Targost, Painful) in late 2008. Because of the common sense for music, soon they decided what kind of music they wanna play: melodic Doom/Death Metal. After finding a nice rehearsal-room Norman Achenbach (Ex-Nicoffeine, Code Fear) joined as drummer and they started to write material. In few weeks they mixed old riffs with new ideas and searched for the missing members, which was really difficult to do. In November 2009 Yoan Betzy (Ex-Desideria) and Daniel Wagner (Ex-Fertilizer, Buffer) joined on bass and vocals.

Immediately they recorded their debut-CD "Cause Of Decline" all by themself and released it in July 2010. A lot of gigs were played after the release and the sound was presented to a bigger audience. In the same time a some new songs were created by all of the five members. The new material was more brutal and complex. Again they recorded and mixed it by themselves and the mini-CD "Aeternitas" was released in May 2011. The reactions were mostly positive, only the mix was a subject to the critics, so it was decided that for the next album, a another one should do the mixing...The recording sessions for "Release Of Insanity" started already in December 2012. Again everything was recorded in their rehearsal-room and finally mixed and mastered by Michael Hahn from Rosenquarz-Studio in Lübeck (Germany). He just knew how to make it sound big so in the end "Release Of Insanity" was released in late 2013...

The feedback to this record was unbelievable positive, but playing gigs and present it live was no longer possible, because Yoan Betzy and Daniel Wagner were leaving the band. Soon after Norman Achenbach and Thorsten Ditschinger quit the band too. The reasons were difficult, but there was never a question about the musical style...

Torsten Staude, as only member left, began to produce the new record all alone. He recorded guitar parts, and it was possible that Yoan Betzy could record the bass parts before leaving go brazil...Then Toni Robinia (Ex-UxLxCxM) appeared and joined as bass player and shouter. That´s luck, huh? Toni wrote the lyrics for the album and recorded them soon after. Then Norman and Thorsten were "hired" to play drums and different guitar parts. While working with each other the new line-up was created. In only a couple of weeks drums were recorded and the recordings were again, mixed and mastered in the Green Corner Studios, a private recording home the guys build for themselves...

With new energy and already new material for a next record "Half A Spine" will be released in May 2016. Now the guys are working on a following record in early 2017, more brutal and more fresh than everything before...and as always they will be pleased when a label or a distributor will show up! Stay tuned...
